Thanks @Ultima, cleared out some curiosity of mine.

Looks like I won't find the original price for Dirt Crusher, but 85 bucks for a set that's ten years old is great, but 15 bucks shipping is a bit stingy....
According to Brickset, that set's original price was $140.

Woke up not feeling the greatest, but still figured I could make it to work... Then I looked outside and saw about 4 inches of snow, with more coming down & no sign of stopping, so I decided to take a sick day. :p

Thanks @Machetero. I showed it to my mom (My bday is in like 30 days and she always asks about now and for the longest streak I just say "15 bucks" because I usually buy things myself so I never ask her for much). But now I feel a bit embarrassed that she offered the person 40 bucks on ebay. Oh deeerr. Better tell her that she's got a deal the way it is and she shouldn't push it.

So, I've finally found an answer to one of my main digital art problems. My issue: my tablet screen has a sepia hue, my lappy screen has a light grey anti-glare tint, equalling difficulty in telling what my image colors actually look like. My daught and I have been using dropbox to share color swatches, image ideas, and background info ... I had an *ephiy* ... save the image as a png, put it in the dropbox, view it on my lil Nexus. It has a normal - clear - beautiful screen.
I will be giving this idea a try this afternoon!

You could try to adjust brightness on your devices and try to get them to match exactly. Another prob with colors is that digital displays use RGB pixels, but (most) printers use CMY+K inks. Thus colors never look the same on paper. I have heard of RGB+K printers and CMY pixeled displays (if you ever wanted to rip something apart and modify it), but they sound expensive.

As a Jay Leno joke (infused with fact) goes, "In a few years, Scientists will be able to "print" fully functional body parts without using clones or embryo stem cells. The bad news is, Obamacare won't cover any of that. The printer's cheap, it's those damn cartridges... That's where they get you."

EDIT:
Dang. There it goes, someone else bought it for 90 bucks after mom made the 40 dollar offer (I knew 6 watchers meant no good 8o ). I should just let her figure it out but then that thing's so rare now how's she gonna know where to find one. Having to help her find something takes the surprise out of it. it's okay though, If I really want it I'll buy it myself and just having pizza at Bruno's is awesome too, and just as meaningful. Especially since Bruno's Pizza is the best place for pizza in the whole state, no offense to any people who take pride in their meema's homemade pizza. :o&

I've considered watching MLP, but I have one question. How often do they sing? Because I absolutely hate stuff like that.

Well there are a few musical episodes, and Pinkie sings a lot before they get into the musical pieces. But most people seem to enjoy the songs.

Well, nice thing about being home sick is getting some stuff done around the house... Like setting ant traps (the "friendly" neighborhood carpenter ants decided to make a reappearance after almost a year hiatus) and getting the Amish-made medicine cabinet hung in the bathroom. I love Amish furniture: The medicine cabinet is of decent size, hand made (with an embossed copper plate on the door) and only cost me $67, which is about half what the mass-produced plastic and metal ones at Lowes that didn't look half as nice cost...

Ultima, I forgot to mention in your post of the Halo dropship, but that cockpit piece would be perfect for making a Warhammer 40K Vulture or Valkyrie (ones a gunship and the other is a dropship, but otherwise they pretty much the same).

I don't remember if I said it or not, I finished the Pelican somewhere between 11 and 12 hours. Then I made the Mantis set. I didn't really keep track, but it was definitely no more than 4.

Nice!

BTW, Ultima, how do you join in special events like the Little Ladies' Day in FFXIV? I finally made level 15....

EDIT: Guess who just unlocked the ability to dye their equipment. :D
