@Napo: happy building, and Machetero has some very sound advice there.

@Hikaro: very interesting Piratical facts indeed.

From what my dad's told me, the feeling's mutual from the air force.

Well, went to see the LEGO Movie last night, and it was AWESOME (I went by myself because my wife was working and she said that it 'looked stupid' based on the trailers) I'm trying to convince my wife to go with me on Saturday. I loved every minute of the movie, with all the references, good clean humor and general awesomeness!

My cloth flags also shipped out from the UK today, so hopefully I'll be able to post finalized versions of my ship sometime before the end of next week.

I still haven't seen the LEGO movie. :( But good news is I just picked up the 2014 Police Station, Cement Mixer, and Police Motorcycle. :D I got the Police Motorcycle impulse because the station comes with one motorcycle. This way, there can be two to guard a motorcade. The mayor of my town will need protection, after all. :9

@Machetero: Excellent advice. I have really oddly mismatched baseplates, but I think I can do it. My huge grey one is probably going to be City Centre, with the government palace. I'm probably going to create a tabletop police state just because it makes it most interesting, thus the palace will likely be a huge, spired structure. So the palace and the police station should cower the 200-some future citizens. X) I have old police sets, too, and a ton of rifles and guns, so I'll probably add an armory onto the station to house firearms, confiscated materials, and riot armor.

Hey, Napo is back from the funny farm! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Fn36l_z3WY

Make sure you build a few classic Porsche 911's to add to that city. http://www.brickforge.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=6391

I haven't had much time for finishing that EP, but most of the work is done - better melody, EQ'd and reverb'd acoustic instruments, and finally a good synth wobble instead of one based off of a snare sample. It starts out sounding like ASPCA background music and then advances to a clean dubstep ensemble.

@ Napo - Glad you're building again. :)

I'm not sure if anyone saw or noticed these 2 things from BrickForge. Firstly, the new logo:

Secondly, these awesome screen printed Power Blades. I guess you could call these QUICKBLADES ;)

Hold on. Botox is made out of the deadliest substance on Earth? I now have even less respect for people that use it, and I didn't have any in the first place.

My sentiments exactly....

Ultimate Blitz: That will be money well spent, believe you me.

Anyways, while I'm waiting on parts to finish up my Rio Grande-class Guided Missile corvette, I decided to have another go at the John Paul Jones-class Fusion-powered guided-missile destroyer project that I'd put on indefinite hold (mostly for lack of inspiration). The major breakthrough came when I realized that I couldn't put a missile launcher where I was thinking, and I extended the bridge out by 4 bricks. I'm now fairly close to finished: I need to finalize the fore and aft masts (need to add additional detailing and greebling), work on the interior of the bridge (and CIC) and figure out where to put various missile launchers and other miscellaneous weapons systems. Hopefully I can at least have THAT one finished in the next couple of days. I'm also thinking about whom to have as CO and XO, but I've got a few ideas.... As usual, they will be references to something. ;)
