Believe it or not, I freaking love
working at Walmart.
I'm about to complete my cashier training, even though I've been rockin' the register pretty much solo for two days. I get along well with everyone
. And you might think I'll run into a bunch of jerky customers, but I totally haven't!
Everyone is nice, and even the ones that look and act like they'll be jerky or rude end up warming up because I'm uber-polite and careful bagging their stuff, and I always chat with them and kid around. Old people love me, in part because I show up hair combed and dressed for work like it's 1957.
And the chicks are awesome (a couple girls flirted with me tonight). All my co-workers are nice to me, too. I even met another employee who is a rockabilly/greaser (the odds of which are literally at least
one in a million) and we talked about DAs and pompadours.
I've been hanging out with one female coworker off the clock (no, she has a boyfriend), and I got three new other work-buddies just tonight. Pretty sweet job so far all around. I make about 8 dollars an hour. Not horrible.
@MC: Wow, that is a fantastic use of the Jayko helmet visor. Well done! And I get a 10% discount off anything in the store after 90 days.
@SM: Thanks, man!
