The Meaningless Thread serves as a place to put all those nonsensical and whimsical comments that don't belong anywhere else. When the current Meaningless Thread reaches 100 pages it will expire. Whoever is responsible for the first post on page 100 has the duty, and the privilege, to reset the MT by posting a new Meaningless Thread topic. The first post must include a copy of these instructions and can be subtitled however the member sees fit.(eg: Meaningless Thread-The Revenge of the Meaningless thread - Dawn of the Meaningless Thread v 1.1, etc.

So that's three in a row. I think I may be starting a dynasty...

...Hail to the king, baby. :oP

lol
I'm never around when the countdown is close enough to grab the new MT ...

@Lego movie: hmm, I guess I'll need to view it again as well ...
though I did wonder how they'd use stop-motion for the 'googly-eyed hero' while he stammers and his dark eyes fade away ...

That LEGO Movie looks like it's going to be good... The trailer made me LOL, especially with the part about the "random 1980's Space Guy" and when they get picked up by the Bat Jet:

"Whaoh! Batman?! Does this thing come in orange"

Batman: "I only work in BLACK! ...And occasionally very dark gray."

On another note, I'd like to find out who came up with the idea of "force feedback" in video game controllers and beat the ever-loving crap out of him (How's THIS for force feedback, MONKEY FIGHTER?!!)...

The reason is that most games these days DON'T let you disable the "rumble packs" and since I work with hand tools all day, my hands are already kinda stiff and tired, so the LAST thing I want to be doing is fighting to hang onto my game controller when I'm trying to chill and de-stress after work. New MT already?

@Hikaro: Batman is very cool. When he is a Lego anyway...

That's kinda funny. At least with the Wii you can turn you remote's rumble off without being affected by the game's controls. (Because that's the only console I really play on...)

Yeah, that's one thing I like about the Wii.... They even let you disable the Gamecube controller rumble packs as well (I prefer to use the Gamecube controllers rather than the derpy Wii-motes, but that's and entirely different topic). What I usually end up doing is just taking the offending PS-3 controllers (or to be more accurate, off-brand controllers) out to my work bench, disassembling said controller, carefully removing the rumble motors (I AM a Mil-spec certified electronics technician after all) and re-assembling them: Problem solved, but more work than should be required, IMO.

I'm also in the process of cleaning out my car today (insert ominous organ music and dramatic thunder), and have it pretty much presentable. I managed to find about $2.50 or so in change under the seats, and a pin bearing the coat of arms of the Japanese Defense Force Guided Missile Destroyer, Hatakaze that I thought I'd lost at least 4 years ago. Finding said pin made my day because I was given it by one of the sailors from the Hatakaze who was on board as part of a crew-swap during joint training exercises in 2003, and I was really sad when I thought it had come off my jacket somewhere outside and was lost forever.

Anyways, I still have to rinse out all the soda bottles that were in the back and get them ready for recycling pick up on Monday.

@Hikaro: that's awesome about finding the pin ... and its back story

@Lego Movie: it does appear to have some good humor in it ... I know they tried to do that with the games too. Speaking of ... I still haven't finished my LoTR's Lego game ... it's actually pretty cool and I love their Rivendale!
(I so want those lego sets too ... )

@QBlade: sorry on the job stress, it is so hard to find a good job or work environment any more ...
and glad to hear about your wife's job, hope that fits her well.

online stuff: so, with the shopping cart now working properly ... I've been able to do in two day (2 days!) what it took me a week to do in the 'problem' cart I was using. I actually feel like 'its really working!' lol
Hoping to get things finished updating, update gallery copy, and be ready to have some creativity time ... by the end of this month. I can hardly wait!

@Hikaro: Great you found that pin again, I hate it when small, meaningful items go lost.

@QB: Sorry about the work issues, I hope they work out alright.

@Lego movie: Looks interesting for sure, I'll be keeping and eye on it.

Now the holiday's here, I suddenly have way too much time on my hands. I'm slowly beginning to manage filling it out with relatively constructive stuff, but it takes some time to get used to not having an average of 10-11 hours spent daily on school, transport and homework.

Anyway, I'm currently in the middle of building a roof that I dare call the most intricate, weird, challenging and, well, stupid thing I've ever tried to make in bricks. It'll have to be finished and online in two days, but to give you guys an idea, the goal is a ramshackle, hole-filled thing made from 1x2 tiles fitted on top of an equally ramshackle, uneven cottage. Argh.

@Hikaro: The 360 also lets you turn off the rumble on your controller.

Edit: Cool. New Ghost in the Shell stuff coming out.

@AlbaVik: glad to hear you're finding constructive ways to use your time, all good.
Can't wait to see this roof!
