I go to a tech school. Usually things don't start on fire in the microwave. *knocks on wood* We do however, have people who don't know how to bake cookies (although it resulted in the opposite happening - they were pretty much raw cookies, so we were bad people and put them back in the oven after said fail baker went to bed - then we ate them.)

That's hilarious!

What is it with people and setting their kitchens on fire? It seems like I've been hearing more of that lately, but I don't really get how that ever actually happens.

Good question!

That's sadly amazingly true.

@Mac: job: yes, I work for the USPS, as a 'non-career' employee ... and my job just keeps getting smaller and smaller.
Thanks.

I got a job at Walmart for now. Come see me and I'll help you shoplift. Nah, just kidding. They told me I have the right to attack and/or cause bodily harm to any and all shoplifters.

So apparently this is Red Ribbon Week. The anti-drug campaign thing. My teacher gave me a red wrist band that said something about how drugs are bad, and then I went smoked a cigarette in front of some young impressionable children. Don't worry. There's no way they would ever want to be like me. Probably. Who knows. Kids are weird.

Wow, school and play practice and life in general have kept me really busy. I spent a good deal of yesterday worrying about the seniors hazing incoming freshmen with their stupid drug/abduction party. I warned the seniors to leave the freshmen alone or else, but they did not. Being as I have no evidence of what happened and obviously can't go around hurting people, I'm gonna guilt trip them into oblivion. Not a week will pass where I don't remind them they're scum until they graduate.

That aside, life's been alright.

I'm really sorry about the work situation MC, I'll remember you in my prayers. I love the blue figure you made there. :)

Congrats on the Wally World job, Napo! That just reminds me too much of the Simpsons episode where the Sprawl Mart employees are locked in at night and steal everything that isn't bolted down, though.

@SMarine: thanks, and thanks.
A busy life can be good, hope things are going alright for you.
And, stupid people ... I know what you mean.

@Mac: Lou Reed? forgive me, but who is / was he?

He was a musician. He was a member of The Velvet Underground, which is one of the bands that inspired punk rock. He also influenced a ton of other musical genres. And don't be sorry. He's not a household name. He mostly just paved the way for more famous people, but he was one of my favorite artists.
