I am indebted to whoever invented inhalers. I've never understood the shame surrounding them. Sometimes I need one to breathe. What's the problem with that?

@QBlade: that's a real bummer for your co-worker, and the rest of you. Nothing puts everyone on edge like an industrial accident.
Also, hope they get the mess cleaned up by your sister - though I found her comment hilarious.

@Bio: life - indeed

@Hikaro: re - wife & AFOL: :o)

@Mac: people are being dumb over an inhaler? That's special.

@ Hikaro - The battery plant is like 45 mins to an hour north of Pittsburgh. It made the news there, but doubtful that it'll be a problem.

@ deer incident - What was shocking for me was that the deer crossed from an area that was totally unexpected. I forgot to mention that last Monday when I came home, there were 5 huge deer in my yard. They didn't move until I started coming up the hill, and then the lead one made a horrific sound that I had never heard them make before. I was half scared out of my mind and half wanting to take off after them in anger for setting me off.

@Hikaro: Wow, I figured the Navy was safer than being some fisher guy on a tugboat. I always thought of the Navy as the (currently; wouldn't be in a BIG war) safest branch. Guess I was wrong.

You mean an asthma thingie? I've used one of those before a few times when my little bitty hereditary asthma shows up, and my Dad has to have them because he has severe asthma, but I've never heard them made fun of before. :?

Also, found a picture of my grandfather I hadn't seen before (b. 1914). My gosh, he looked like Johnny Cash.

Just letting everyone know that we're all prepped here in Enfield for Sandy. Thank you Radius Engineering. We're hoping Omi is doing OK.

Because some stupid people perceive it as a weakness..
My suggestion is show them the weakness of the human skull by punching them in the temple with brass knuckles.

Also, if that doesn't show each and every one of the army values (Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, Personal Courage), I don't know what does.
Those are the guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier right smack in the middle of Hurricane Sandy.

Ouch, serious stuff is happening all over the place.
@mac and inhalers: I've used some of those for many years as well. Nobody ever bothered me directly for that, but it's incredibly how many things people find to complain about.

@Deer: Sorry about the accident, QB (also the one with the pressman, of course). We've got deer all over the place, eating our fruits and vegetables |U .

@Hurricane: Sounds pretty serious, best of luck to those of you who are affected by it. Funnily, one of my classmates was in NY just two weeks ago.

@Hikaro: Your wife's getting into Lego? Celebration time! ;9

@Everything: So... yeah... I'm still alive and feeling particularly well, although things have been busy over here. Until next time: have fun, America (am I really the only non-American around here?)!

Wow. Have things really changed that much? When I was younger inhalers were a shameful thing. A sign that your body was weak. Things change way to fast. I don't have asthma. I have Reactive Airway Disease. It's similar to asthma, but only shows up when I'm sick or there is an extreme irritant in the air.

Axe_Maniax was from Britain, he used to be on a lot. I think Redbean's from Singapore or Hong Kong or something, I know someone here is from the Far East. There's also a person from Australia wandering around here somewhere, can't remember his name though.
