Special thanks to DaleDVM over at Classic Castle for resizing these pictures.

Here are links to the pictures at a bigger size. Fellowship. Villans.

Someone at CC mentioned BrickForge being annoyed with the Uruk hai looking so much like our Goblin Shield and Sword. Like I said there, I think if anything it provides us opportunity to "Fill in the gaps" like we have been doing since day 1. Gandalf needs a proper staff, Legolas needs a more accurate bow, Aragon and Boromir need better swords, and Frodo is missing his famous sword, which Brickforge can provide them all :) It appears the elf hair/ears combo and the orcs are the same but different colored. This could be great news for someone that wants to take that extra step with a little bit of paint.

Those orcs look pretty sick.
Shouldn't it be Moria Goblin though?

Even better images. The swords of Legolas and Aragorn seem to be a new mold. I will also enjoy having the Moria Orcs for their hair. I'm disappointed that the Illanthier (sp) seems to be simply a standard crystal, rather than completely clear version of the Collectable Minifigure flask.

There were Orcs and Goblins in Moria in the movie. The Sting did glow blue in that scene.

When you think about it, the designs are simple enough that it was bound to happen with this theme. I wouldn't say annoyed. Just inevitable.

I mean, when you're adapting from a specific source, it's hard not to look similar.

That said, the shields are fairly distinguishable, imo. Different point structure, difference of raised details, the spear notch.
