Well, I think I'd like them better if they were sloped down towards the arms a little more. What do you think about that? Maybe I'll get a set and try to mod them...

I agree... They should have just used the spiky shoulder pads from the Prince of Persia line, or something like the samurai armor's pauldrons, but JUST the pauldrons....

...Most likely going to be using the BF neck armor and arched pauldrons.

Those are not compatible with ninja headwraps, which appear to have the same width as the new ones.

The spiked shoulder pads I have from a Prince of Persia set work fine with a ninja headwrap. At least, last time I checked they do.

They don't go down all the way.

I just checked my PoP shoulder piece against a Ninjago headwrap, a Collectible Minifig Ninja headwrap, and an original Ninja headwrap. The only one of those I saw a fit issue with was the original Ninja headwrap in which, like you said, it didn't seem to fit all the way down. Is this an issue of LEGO pieces being slightly different or are we just using different definitions of fitting? Further, perhaps LEGO has altered or will alter their headwrap piece to work with shoulder pads.

Some new photos of a few minifigs in the series.

Thisssss (see what I did there? ;9 ) guy is pretty cool looking in a lime green color. Check out the new additions to the spinners.

That's a pretty wicked helmet/face gear type of thing. He's even extra menacing with that bucket handle on his helmet. That right there would make me think twice about confronting him |D

I can't help but wonder why there is no female character this time around. I think a green ninja would be perfect for her.

Definitions of fitting. If it isn't on all the way, it doesn't fit.
