KKIII is the KKII stage with Sir Kentis, Sir Adric, Karzon, Dracus and the Rogue Knights. Sir Adric had this shield:

That's KKII. There was no time gap between the Rainbow knights and Kentis lines. I've always seen the Kentis-Adric sets under KKII on lists and sites. That'd be like saying the Orcs are Castle II and the Skellies are Castle I, IMO.

I agree: I hope to death it's not another bull homage.

That is Knight's Kingdom II.

This is Knight's Kingdom I, which had no involvement with the second line.

Don't blame me. I didn't coin the name. I suspect the delineation came from wanting to make a distinction between the more-or-less-terrible KKII and the actually-not-that-bad "KKIII".

Also it's nothing like the Orcs/Skellies because it has completely new characters for both the villains and heroes, with Jayko being the only holdover from the jellybean knights; on that note, Jayko is king in the Kentis era and iirc implied to be rather old, whereas he was the young rookie previously. So there's got to be some passage of story time, though product-line-wise, it was just a continuation.

Now that I've discovered where my local walmart has been hiding the collectable figs, I'll be all over these. Yay bagpipes!
