Hi there, I've got a dungeon built and play it with my local brick builders club. I am the dungeon master here, and it's a load of fun. We even converted it from castle to space, for the star wars nerds to enjoy a few rounds... I came up with some special rules for jedi and such. Turned out pretty cool. I/M me if you'd like to chat more...

Cool stuff! You use the listed monsters or do you create your own?

I usually have to make up my own, but I will pick the stats of one of the creatures similar to use for it... Oh, and since we don't have super skilled travelers , I usually go easy on them (pick lower hit point characters), death increases enjoyment {:D

That's basically what I've done too. Usually just come up with some variation of the given monsters. Okay well it seems that its just you and I so I will let this thread die. I would, however, recommend everyone check this out if you're into rpg's or wargaming.

I'm reading some of the stuff on the posted links and it looks like a real fun game. It would be kind of funny/weird but I like CB's suggestion of using like a webcam to play over long distances.

I agree but have no idea how that would actually work.

It could most easily work if both parties had a flat board like the one shown above, then the battle could be easily recreated on both ends. Not sure if even a web cam is necessary, just pictures of movement and recording of actions via email etc. It would be tricky but could work...

Or if one person actually had the board and a webcam and then the other person/people would like tell that person what to do. Not sure if that would be too fun or not though. And then like they could each roll their own dice and say what they rolled or something. I don't know.

That's kinda what I was thinking, Hurricane. One person has the board/dungeon... others make their 'characters', have pictures of them, and the Dungeon Master (who has the board) could just use generic 'stand in' figures in place of each characters, etc. Probably a lot of hassle though :9
