@Bio - I wonder how pain displacement works in that situation. ;9

Went through my spam in my e-mail box and I saw something that just the title alone infuriated me. I try not to press my beliefs on others, but I think promoting infidelity is just wrong.

@S133: Brain cells and nerve cells can be replaced one at a time, but extensive damage cannot be repaired. It's not because we can't regenerate those cells, it's that our brain and nerve system are so complex that it's impossible for our body to replicate accurately. The cells would come back in the wrong spot and cause problems. Like how I have no feeling in the part of my left leg where my surgery scars are, or just large scars in general.

I'm going through Nchuand-Zel in Skyrim and grabbing everything that isn't nailed down. About 2,000 pounds right now. I read that once I get out I can probably get 300 Dwarven ingots out of the junk. Imagine all the armor I could make and sell. :|~

I just hate how merchants in Skyrim run out of money. I want to sell my crap, darn it. :9

Isn't that pretty much how every dwarven ruin in the game works?

I always come up with great ideas to post here while I'm at school, but once I get home I'm to tired of typing to post any of them. They always have to be longwinded.

Edit: I feel slightly ill right now. It's that annoying feeling where you can't really tell if you're actually nauseous or not. It does feel like full blown nausea, but you certainly don't feel normal.

Mac: That sounds like how I usually get when I've been getting WAAAAAY too little sleep, especially if I've also been consuming vast quantities of caffeine at the same time (like practically all the time when I was in the Navy)...

Anyways, I moved all my DVDs and the one book case from my parents' house yesterday (which was where the DVDs were being kept), and I also happened to find my other "mad science" notebook (I have two notebooks, one lined and the other graph paper where I keep all my circuit designs and notes on various wiring pinouts for various cabling) that happened to have a schematic diagram printout for that telephone that I mentioned wasn't working the other day.

It only took me one glance to figure out the likely cause of the dialer malfunction: This phone is as old as I am (made in 1978), and uses the same basic circuitry as all Bell Systems touch-tone phones from the 1960's and 1970's, meaning that, unlike modern phones, there is no built-in polarity protection for the touch-tone generator circuitry.

Long story short: Whoever installed the phone lines in the house managed to swap the red (-) and green (+) wires at some point (the wires were correctly oriented at the jacks I installed), feeding negative voltage to the positive end of the transistor in the dialer and positive voltage to the negative end. I proceeded to install a 400v rated bridge rectifier (no kill like overkill, I say) on a terminal block inside the phone, and it fixed the problem, so yay!

I was expecting something much harder to fix, such as the transistor going bad or one of the other components, but thankfully it was just a reversed polarity issue.

Oh, and I finally got all my LEGO bricks, sets and MOCs moved into the new house, and hopefully I'll be able to start working on a MOC or two sometime soon....

Class wasn't so bad.
Four hours of stuff I already knew followed by a 'test' in which the class was pretty much given the answers.

Also the instructor had a cammed Z06 corvette so he gets some bravo-alpha points from me.
