Guten tag; welcome to this fine establishment! The world of miniatures is pretty exciting, even if excessive handling of lead can give you cancer, which sucks.

I tried that with lead miniatures and the trouble is... staying focused is a REAL challenge. Especially with all the new sculpts and periods and scales hitting the market at any given time.
The good thing about using the mighty minifig is interchangeability and LOADS of customizable options. Actually... now that I think about that.. it could be as big a problem as lead wargaming is.

lol ... indeed, thus why I make my lists ... work on two or three ideas at a time, finish those up and it starts over again; but as you said the mighty minfig is Amazingly customizable!!

Hello! Hope you have fun here. I do some Table top Wargaming myself (warhammer 40K). I also enjoy making scenery pieces, I would love to see some of your scenery work.

I'll definately be posting some pics once I get that far. For actual wargaming I don't planning on having much brick stuff aside from the minifigs on the table. Most of that will be from the Playmobil world. They have some nice scenery.

Luckily most minis are white metal in composition which is much safer. The older, and more collectible stuff, is made from the old lead which is definately toxic. Then again, so is resin which most vehicles and scenery is made from so I guess in the miniatures world you can't win.

Check off another plus for plastic!

Yeah pretty scary eh? Ah well looks like gaming with plastics has some health advantages.
