Not sure which this goes under ... because it will have minfigs and some customizing ... but, I'd also like a bit of discussion too ... so mods if it needs to be moved - my apologies.
I'm in the process of working on a few minfigs, SMarines, that have actual battle damage to them, not just the dry brush techniques. (Eventually I will combine the two).
So here's my first installment of pics for discussion on doing 'realistic' battle damage.
I want some of my troops to 'look' like they've seen some 'serious' battle, not just a few scrapes.
Here is the below SMarine
before painting this pic is washed out because it was so hard to see the actual damage before painting.

This minfig has been given some heavy scratches and a small amount of chipping (like on the helmet brim and left side of armor facing you). I wanted it to look like this guy did some serious sliding in battle.
Both the armor And the minfig have scratch damage.
Anyway, comments and suggestion are Wanted ... even pics if you have something you've done along this line ...
