The name's Luke. Leastways, that's what my parents called me, so I figger that's what my name is. I'm a cowboy, ya know, riding the range and all that. Well I'm gonna tell ya'll a li'l story here.
One night I was layin' in my bedroll and listenin' to the Kid singin' to the cattle.

Get along little dogies/ Stop shaking the ground/ All day you've stomped/ And rumbled around/ Get along little dogies/ And move real slow/ Hi-yo hi-yo hi-yo hi-yo.
Suddenly, there was a crack of thunder and them Longhorns jest went plum' crazy!
