She does not know how to pick a lock because she has never associated herself with people who know how to. She may be able to at some point, but does not currently. You never know what may happen. She used to live in the city but moved out into the less frequented areas in order to get away from the need to lock her door or have protection from break ins. When I said roving bands occasionally pass through I did not mean it was often at all. This is the first time it has happened since she moved out here. I simply meant it had happened before but not in quite a long time. She did not sleep through the whole thing. She was asleep when she was woken by her house being destroyed, while trying to escape she got knocked out. She didn't really have the chance to see who did it, but she knows it wasn't human. The bed was apparently taken. It is hard however to distinguish between the various rubble. She does not however see her matress, so it was probably taken. Which seems strange. So do you want to go East or South?
