I say go to the woods to the south/bottom. We can see what we discover there as well as possibly find the blacksmith or their shop.

In the chest is you money, three coins of different values. Lego coin 10 20 30 it should be. A bone which you bought at a fair that is supposed to grant you unnatural luck. And a nice dress, which you only wear on special occasions. Yes, she did fasten a sturdy chest to the ground just in case. She does not know how to pick a lock because she has never associated herself with people who know how to. She may be able to at some point, but does not currently. You never know what may happen. She used to live in the city but moved out into the less frequented areas in order to get away from the need to lock her door or have protection from break ins. When I said roving bands occasionally pass through I did not mean it was often at all. This is the first time it has happened since she moved out here. I simply meant it had happened before but not in quite a long time. She did not sleep through the whole thing. She was asleep when she was woken by her house being destroyed, while trying to escape she got knocked out. She didn't really have the chance to see who did it, but she knows it wasn't human. The bed was apparently taken. It is hard however to distinguish between the various rubble. She does not however see her matress, so it was probably taken. Which seems strange. So do you want to go East or South?

...Okay, let's go talk to the blacksmith and see if we can't borrow one of no doubt many hammers he owns.

Ok. To the blacksmith it is!

Picture

You walk South from your house in the direction of the blacksmith. As you get closer you hear the trademark clang of hammer on metal on anvil. It occasionally stops, then resumes. You finally arrive and see the smith bare-chested heating a bar of metal. Presumably to make horseshoes for the horse standing nearby. You see many different kinds of weapons and a suit of armor.

Talk to the Blacksmith. See if he has any more information as to what happened to you and your home. Then, see if he has lockpicking skills and if so, if he will teach you how to pick a lock. If he doesn't or won't, see if you can borrow a hammer. Also, check the tree by the armor for whatever that black thing is.

As a side note and for my own personal interest, what is the light colored weapon in the barrel in the foreground?

Good thing we don't have a kleptomaniac goblin/hobgoblin/etc companion that would want to steal everything :9

I'm good with Machetero's idea. Also, we're coming back here after we have money.
I want that KK sword. :o&

You guys are clearly better than me with the whole PR thing, so this is up to you. If he's rude, then I vote we kill him and take all his stuff.

@ CB: The KK sword? And yeah, I agree we got to come back 'cause I think armor might be helpful. Plus, a blacksmith can be a very good resource.

@ sentinal: Trying to kill a blacksmith may be difficult. They can be quite strong, and have no issue waving around hot metal and hammers. And like I said, they can be a good resource. Now, once we have everything we can possible get from him through friendly means...
