I had a couple of days off for the holidays, so I had the time to finish this thing I've had sitting here for months, and even got a chance to photograph it

The Ahl-met starfighter from the Ehrlos species. It's a small double-pyramid fighter heavily influenced by Egyptian architecture. While it's a relatively simple build, I've always loved the pyramid look and figured with the release of a certain Set-like minifigure earlier in the year that this was a great time to do it.
It has one main equatorial thruster in each of the cardinal directions of the fighter, with each corner having a rotating directional thruster, allowing it to be very maneuverable. Each pyramid is topped with a gold crown which houses a low-powered energy projector. These individually weak beams converge on the target for a more forceful blast, though they can be used independently as well. Thus the offensive and defensive capabilities of the fighter are not very impressive.
Base from frontThe fighters land in an unnecessarily large structure, which itself has four of the crown energy projectors that the fighter has, meant to defend the fighter while either taking off, or landing. I originally wanted to place several of these in various settings (desert, jungle, etc.) to give the impression of these having been there awhile, and other visiting species rediscovering these strange structures. However obvious time constraints have made that more of an "I'll get to it...hopefully".
