Paintings easy... its all trial and error... and you can learn so much from yourself. Its a lot a fun and you can just go to a HobbyLobby or something and start out by buying some .68 cent tempra paints.

Do you have any weapons that you have like 30 of, just sitting around? Like, say, a pike? That way, you won't be taking a knife to your Jango Fett fig or white Darth Vader, or something equally rare.

hahaha... Yeah I would shy away from cutting up something you only have a couple of... but yes I agree with Napoleon. Just take something you have several of and start cutting and painting them up.

@Khopesh: Don't worry too much. Like Napo and Dirk said, just use something you have a lot of, and start simple. I think the first mods I did was make my TLC Shortswords pointy instead of round at the end
