Again with the pauldrons! ;)

I'd found this awesome little super-deformed Mr. Freeze character from a Fisher Price toy, and immediately yanked the helmet off and chopped the head apart to use on LEGO. It's slightly larger than a normal figure's head so I needed to bulk up the body somehow, which is when I discovered that the new BF arched pauldrons snap nicely into place under the LEGO shoulder armor piece. Added a couple BF horns around the neck to finish it off, et voila! Instant vampire.

Now when you say "snap nicely in place", do they really? Must test this.

Quite literally "snap", sound and all, yep. :) Now... I'll caveat that by saying that they snap with the configuration I have-- the armor piece, cape, and position of the arms might contribute to it fitting exactly the way it does; I haven't tried the pauldrons with just the armor to see if they'll still stay in place.

Yep, looks like it does! I just tested the "connection" again without a bulky cape or the oversized head to throw off the standard LEGO fit, which I thought might've been making that space tighter than normal. But even with a regular figure the uppermost ridge on the pauldron snaps right into place underneath the armor's overhang; it's quite secure and very non-wiggly. (The angle of the arm appears to play some part in how well the pauldron will stay in, too, so it may take some trial and error finding the right way.)

Finding new connections like this is fun. :)
