We are proud to announce the launching of a new website: CustomMinifigs.com. Operated by minifig aficionados Shmails and Armothe, CM.com is dedicated to providing enthusiasts tiny likenesses of famous and fictitious characters which highlight Shmails decal designs and Brickforge accessories.
There are three different types of figures we are selling. Collectible edition figures include a customized fictitious figure and Brickforge accessories to bring the character to life. Limited edition figures are collectible figures of famous or infamous characters, however they include a small vignette to put the figure into proper context. The third type will be Commemorative sets, which will be larger scenes that include multiple figures and limited edition accessories. In fact, CustomMinifigs.com is going to become the place to find Brickforge Prototype Accessories that will not see production in the forseeable future.
Our first round of figures is listed now, and new figures will be listed every week or two, so be sure to check in often. You can also go to the Brickforge Forums to join in on the discussion about our figures present and future, or check in with us on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/31157752@N04/ to see what’s new.
Happy New Year to all, and keep on customizing!
If you haven’t already gotten your copy then hurry up and grab one. Beckett Build is a new publication that covers a variety of construction toys including LEGO and the minifigure. BrickForge was given a full page (look for us on page 4) to help promote some of our accessories.
The publication is packed full of articles, photos and even a LEGO set price guide! Beckett Build is available at TRU, Barnes & Noble as well as online here.
Kyle Peterson, co-founder and owner of BrickForge, was recently appointed to the Springfield-Clark Career Technology Center CAD advisory board. High School students from all over Clark County attend SCCTC to acquire specific skills and expand their post-graduate opportunities. Eric Barge, head of the CAD program is busy putting his expertise at work training the next generation of model-builders – from architects to engineers.
“In addition to brainstorming on CAD projects, Mr. Barge and I also focus on preparing students for their first interview and how to cope in an office/team environment. Some exercises include drafting and submitting professionally-written resumes as well as presenting market-ready products in 3D form. BrickForge also has the opportunity to help assess and calibrate the school’s rapid prototyping machine by comparing accuracies between compiled resin prototypes and the actual final plastic-injected product/s.”
Congrats to the Enon Knights Pee Wee who finished the season 4-3. BrickForge is happy to contribute towards the purchase of a new scoreboard and other field improvements so the program may continue on for years to come. Go Knights!
Sent some goodies over to the guys at The BrickShow and here is what they had to say:
